    Description

This is a collection of production-produced poster concept art developmental photographs and negatives for the theatrcial poster for Ridley Scott's 1989 film Black Rain starring Michael Douglas and Andy Garcia.
Consisting of series of photographic negative elements and lab-processed photographs, each were produced in differing sates to form the final poster gradients of color and tones. Included are alternate photographic compositions than what was used for the theatrical release poster, with Michael Douglas posing with gun drawn and one being a head-shot of Michael Douglas. Produced in 1989 during the period the film was being evaluated for the poster key art, the reverse side of the photos include the hand-written annotations on the various different results produced, cost associated, and size considerations, including dates of April and July 1989. Some of the negative sleeves also have hand-produced annotations. They remain in great condition. Some scuffs are present on the larger image present, while the negatives vary with some adhered together to combine filters of the color separations.
A great display piece worthy of framing with the various accompanying elements. The photographs developed semi-glossy and processed on Kodak paper. The largest photograph is 11" x 14" while the small photographs are 4" x 5". Negatives are also 4" x 5".  In total, there 15 lab-processed photographs and what appears to be 31 combine negative elements.
A COA will be included to accompany the purchase. This is just one of many examples Hollywood Cargo is listing on eBay of the different things produced during motion picture development,  production, and promotion production process with other items associated to posters and art being listed.
