Some 100 kilometers northwest of the ancient capital city Kyoto, the Tango region has
a tradition going back about 1200 years.
Trade in the famed Tango Chirimen silk crepe dates back 260 years. Today T
ango is the largest silk fabric production area in which 60% of the white fabric for kimonos produced in Japan is produced. It is characteristic of the small "shibo" which is the bumps on the fabric surface.
Since it was founded in 1951, we have been manufacturing and selling high quality silk products to this day.
Characteristics of Tango Silk Crepe
1. Woven of Worsted silk yarn for a feeling of bulk, durability and comfort.
2. Woven on Jacquard looms, various figured weaves are available.
3. Dyed after being woven, Tango Silk crepe can handle a wide variety of colors and print patterns.
